MUMBAI (Daily Dunya) – Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has said that her daughter, Trishala Dutt, wanted to pursue an acting career but he objected to the idea and wanted to break her legs.
“I’ve invested a lot of time and energy to put her in a good college and she has done very well. She has specialised in forensic science… And I think that’s the great thing to do,” said Dutt as reported by PTI.
According to Sanjay, making a mark in Bollywood would have been difficult for Trishala as she is not fluent in Hindi language.
“Even if she wants to join the industry, she has to learn Hindi because American (English) will not work here. It is not easy to be an actor. It looks easy but it is quite difficult.”
Sanjay Dutt is currently working on his upcoming film ‘Bhoomi’. The film revolves around the relationship between a father and daughter, played by Aditi Rao Hydari.
Asked if he finds any similarities between Aditi’s character and his daughter, Dutt said, “Yes, there are similarities but Trishala wanted to be an actress and I wanted to break her legs, which I’m not doing here.”
While talking about the bond with his children, he responded, “I share a beautiful relationship with my children. I remember my father (Sunil Dutt) used to say, ‘I’m not your friend, I’m your father’. That’s the way I’m with my kids.”
