On Wednesday, Delta Airlines had to cancel hundreds of flights and to make up for it, they decided to order a whole bunch of pizza. The airline ended up purchasing 450 boxes of pizza in an attempt to make their customers feel a little bit better about the inconveniences.
Many flights in the southeast were delayed or canceled, including flights from airports in Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.
Delta corporate communications manager Michael Thomas explained that they “empower our agents and airport station leaders to find ways to take care of our customers when irregular operations disrupt travel.”
At some airports, they also bought subs and chicken biscuits in addition to pizza.
